Send me the address and I check the airspace before anything else is booked. A large part of Christchurch sits under controlled airspace from Christchurch International, and a site inside it needs authorisation before it can be flown. You find out where you stand up front — not with a drone in the boot on shoot day.

We agree what needs covering and book a window that suits the site and the weather. On a build, that repeats every few weeks. I fly it myself, work around whoever is on site, and keep out of the way of the trades.

I'm Matthew. Property Pilot is just me — I fly every job myself, edit it myself, and nothing gets handed to a subcontractor. You deal with the person who was standing on your site.
What I'm actually good at is close-quarters flying: through a building, under canopy, around and between structures, at head height rather than at altitude. A wide shot from three hundred metres up is something anyone with a Mini can produce. Threading a stairwell, or moving through a framed-up house without touching anything, is a different job — and on a property it's the footage that shows someone what the place is like to walk through.
I operate under CAA Part 101. That means checking the airspace over an address before committing to a flight, staying inside the rules on people and property, and telling you plainly when a site needs authorisation or can't be flown. It's the first step of every job for a reason.
